**Loughborough Meadows** is a 60.5 hectares (149 acres) biological [Site of Special Scientific Interest](/source/Site_of_Special_Scientific_Interest) on the northern outskirts of [Loughborough](/source/Loughborough) in [Leicestershire](/source/Leicestershire), England.[1][2] An area of 35.3 hectares (87 acres) is managed as a nature reserve by the [Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust](/source/Leicestershire_and_Rutland_Wildlife_Trust).[3]

This is the largest area of unimproved [alluvial](/source/Alluvial) flood meadow in the county, and wet areas are dominated by [creeping bent](/source/Agrostis_stolonifera) and [marsh foxtail](/source/Marsh_foxtail). A brook has large areas of [marsh foxtail](/source/Marsh_foxtail), and there is a field with breeding [lapwings](/source/Northern_lapwing) and [redshanks](/source/Common_redshank).[4]

There is public access to the site.
