# Lord Baltimore March

The **Lord Baltimore March** is an [American patriotic song](/source/American_patriotic_music) by [Henry Fillmore](/source/Henry_Fillmore), named for the [Lord Baltimore](/source/Baron_Baltimore), colonial proprietors of [Province of Maryland](/source/Province_of_Maryland).

Composed around the turn of the century, it was performed publicly in 1904.[1]

The song was first released on [phonograph record](/source/Phonograph_record) and [phonograph cylinder](/source/Phonograph_cylinder) by [Columbia Records](/source/Columbia_Records) on Monday, November 26, 1906.[2] In 1909, the [United States military band](/source/United_States_military_bands) recorded their performance of the march.[3]
