**Longay** ([Scottish Gaelic](/source/Scottish_Gaelic_language): *Longaigh*) is a small uninhabited [Scottish](/source/Geography_of_Scotland) [island](/source/Island) in the [Inner Sound](/source/Inner_Sound%2C_Scotland) just off the coast of the [Isle of Skye](/source/Isle_of_Skye), north of [Pabay](/source/Pabay) and east of [Scalpay](/source/Scalpay%2C_Inner_Hebrides).[5][6]

In 1971, the [Caledonian MacBrayne](/source/Caledonian_MacBrayne) mailboat *Loch Seaforth* ran aground on the island, sustaining only minimal damage.[7]
