The **Lone Star Grand Prix** was an [American Le Mans Series](/source/American_Le_Mans_Series) [sports car race](/source/Sports_car_racing) that took place at **JAGFlo Speedway at [Reliant Park](/source/Reliant_Park)** in [Houston, Texas](/source/Houston%2C_Texas), United States. The Lone Star Grand Prix was part of the [Grand Prix of Houston](/source/Grand_Prix_of_Houston) race weekend. The event took place in 2006 and 2007. The 2008 event was cancelled following the merger of the [Champ Car World Series](/source/Champ_Car_World_Series) and [Indy Racing League](/source/Indy_Racing_League).[1]

## Winners

[Rinaldo Capello](/source/Rinaldo_Capello) and [Allan McNish](/source/Allan_McNish) took overall honors in 2006.

[Romain Dumas](/source/Romain_Dumas) and [Timo Bernhard](/source/Timo_Bernhard) were outright winners in 2007.
