**Local to Global Justice** is a volunteer organization based in [Tempe, Arizona](/source/Tempe%2C_Arizona), United States. It sponsors events dealing with [social justice](/source/Social_justice) issues, mostly held on and around the [Arizona State University](/source/Arizona_State_University) (ASU) Tempe campus. The group is a registered ASU student organization, but membership is not limited to [students](/source/Student) at the university.

## Activities

Every year since 2002 the group has organized the Local to Global Justice Teach-in at the ASU Tempe campus. The free event is a [social forum](/source/Social_forum) featuring nationally recognized speakers, workshops by local [grassroots](/source/Grassroots) organizations, music, and food.[1] The speakers and workshops at the Teach-in have dealt with a wide variety of topics, including [civil rights](/source/Civil_rights), [environmental justice](/source/Environmental_justice), [workers' rights](/source/Workers'_rights), [globalization](/source/Globalization), and [immigration](/source/Immigration).

Well-known speakers at past events have included [Starhawk](/source/Starhawk), [Ward Churchill](/source/Ward_Churchill), [Rod Coronado](/source/Rod_Coronado), [Jonathan Schell](/source/Jonathan_Schell), [Frances Moore Lappé](/source/Frances_Moore_Lapp%C3%A9), Lisa "Tiny" Gray-Garcia, Michael Alewitz and [Tom Hayden](/source/Tom_Hayden).[2]
