# Ljosland Chapel

**Ljosland Chapel** (Norwegian: *Ljosland kapell*) is a [parish church](/source/Parish_church) of the [Church of Norway](/source/Church_of_Norway) in [Åseral Municipality](/source/%C3%85seral_Municipality) in [Agder](/source/Agder) county, [Norway](/source/Norway). It is located in the village of [Ljosland](/source/Ljosland). It is one of the churches for the Åseral [parish](/source/Parish) which is part of the [Otredal prosti](/source/Otredal_prosti) ([deanery](/source/Deanery)) in the [Diocese of Agder og Telemark](/source/Diocese_of_Agder_og_Telemark). The brown, wooden church was built in a [long church](/source/Long_church) design in 1959 using plans drawn up by the [architect](/source/Architect) Olav Erikstad. The church seats about 95 people.[1][2]
