'''Liw Land''' (Polish: ''ziemia liwska''), named after the town of [Liw](/source/Liw%2C_Poland), was an administrative unit ([ziemia](/source/ziemia)) of both the [Kingdom of Poland](/source/Kingdom_of_Poland_(1385%E2%80%931569)) and the [Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth](/source/Polish%E2%80%93Lithuanian_Commonwealth). It was part of [Masovian Voivodeship](/source/Masovian_Voivodeship_(1526%E2%80%931795)), and existed from the 14th century until the [Partitions of Poland](/source/Partitions_of_Poland). Liw Land was located in eastern part of the historic province of [Mazovia](/source/Mazovia). It had an area of 1038 sq. kilometers, and due to its small size, was not divided into counties. Local [sejmik](/source/sejmik)s took place at Liw.
