# Live Shots

***Live Shots*** is a [live album](/source/Live_album) recorded in [London](/source/London) by [American](/source/United_States) [country](/source/Country_music) outfit the [Joe Ely](/source/Joe_Ely) Band during a 1980 tour supporting [the Clash](/source/The_Clash). The tour occurred at a high point in the Clash's popularity just after the release of the album *[London Calling](/source/London_Calling)*.

The album was first only released in the [UK](/source/United_Kingdom), but a [US](/source/United_States) release soon followed due to high demand. The 1993 reissue [CD](/source/Compact_Disc) included the tracks from the *Texas Special* bonus EP that had accompanied the *Live Shots* [LP](/source/LP_album).
