*[Lawman](/source/Lawman_(TV_series))* is an American [Western television series](/source/Westerns_on_television) originally telecast on [ABC](/source/American_Broadcasting_Company) from 1958 to 1962, starring [John Russell](/source/John_Russell_(actor)) as Marshal Dan Troop and [Peter Brown](/source/Peter_Brown_(actor)) as Deputy Marshal Johnny McKay.[1][2] The series was set in [Laramie, Wyoming](/source/Laramie%2C_Wyoming), during 1879 and the 1880s. [Warner Bros.](/source/Warner_Bros.) already had several Western series on the air at the time.
