**Elisabeth Caroline "Lise" Simms** (born March 17, 1963) is an American actress, designer, dancer, and singer.

### Broadway and theater

Simms began her acting career at age 13. After graduating from high school, she started acting on [Broadway](/source/Broadway_theatre) in numerous plays, including *[Other People's Money](/source/Other_People's_Money)*, *[Mame](/source/Mame_(musical))*, *[Can-Can](/source/Can-Can_(musical))*, *[Sweet Charity](/source/Sweet_Charity)* and *[Bye Bye Birdie](/source/Bye_Bye_Birdie_(musical))* during the 1980s. She was a member of the original [Los Angeles](/source/Los_Angeles), [California](/source/California) cast of *[Beauty and the Beast](/source/Beauty_and_the_Beast_(musical))* and toured around the world with *[A Chorus Line](/source/A_Chorus_Line)* in 1986.
