**Lisa A. Dunkley** is an American politician serving in the [Florida House of Representatives](/source/Florida_House_of_Representatives) representing [District 97](/source/Florida's_97th_House_of_Representatives_district) since 2022.

## Life

Lisa Dunkley was born in Jamaica.[1] She moved to Florida in 1995.[2] She completed a B.B.A. from the [Florida Atlantic University](/source/Florida_Atlantic_University).[2] She retired from the [United States Army](/source/United_States_Army) after serving her final tour in Iraq. She worked for the [Florida Department of Transportation](/source/Florida_Department_of_Transportation).[1] and later transitioned to the non-profit sector.

During the [2022 Florida House of Representatives election](/source/2022_Florida_House_of_Representatives_election), Dunkley, a [Democrat](/source/Democratic_Party_(United_States)), won a three-way primary with 62% of the vote.
