**Lisa A. Borowski** is a [Democratic](/source/Democratic_Party_(United_States)) member of the [Pennsylvania House of Representatives](/source/Pennsylvania_House_of_Representatives), representing the [168th District](/source/Pennsylvania_House_of_Representatives,_District_168) since 2023.[1]

## Formative years and family

Born circa 1966 in [Delaware County, Pennsylvania](/source/Delaware_County,_Pennsylvania) as Lisa Anne Cianciulli, Lisa A. Borowski is a daughter of Francis D. Cianciulli, M.D., and the paternal granddaughter of Daniel R. Cianciulli and Rose Marie (Moccia) Cianciulli.[2][3] A 1984 graduate of [Radnor High School](/source/Radnor_High_School), Lisa Cianciulli earned her Bachelor of Science degree in communications from [Drexel University](/source/Drexel_University) in 1989.[4]

She married Mark R. Borowski in September 1994. They are the parents of two sons.[5][6]

## Career

Lisa Borowski worked as a healthcare communications professional for [Mercy Health System](/source/Trinity_Health_Mid-Atlantic)[7][8] and [Einstein Healthcare Network](/source/Einstein_Healthcare_Network), and also served as board operations manager for the Philadelphia Police Foundation.[4]

As an elected official, she served as a [Radnor Township](/source/Radnor_Township,_Delaware_County,_Pennsylvania) commissioner (2018–2022) and [school board](/source/Radnor_Township_School_District) member (2011–2015).[4][9][10]

On November 8, 2022, she unseated [Republican](/source/Republican_Party_(United_States)) incumbent [Christopher B. Quinn](/source/Christopher_B._Quinn) to represent the 168th House district, with 17,485 votes to Quinn's 13,708.[11][4]
