'''''Linnaeolpium''''' is a [monotypic](/source/monotypic_taxon) [genus](/source/genus) of [pseudoscorpions](/source/pseudoscorpions) in the [Olpiidae](/source/Olpiidae) [family](/source/Family_(taxonomy)). It was described in 2008 by Australian [arachnologist](/source/arachnology)s [Mark Harvey](/source/Mark_Harvey_(arachnologist)) and Mei Chen Leng. The genus name ''Linnaeolpium'' honours [Carl Linnaeus](/source/Carl_Linnaeus) (1707–1778), founder of modern [taxonomy](/source/taxonomy), in combination with the generic name ''Olpium''.<ref name="h&l2008"/><ref name="wac"/><ref name="afd-g">{{cite web |url= https://biodiversity.org.au/afd/taxa/d2220274-7bcc-460e-a17a-8a4f3d504c6f|title= Genus Linnaeolpium Harvey & Leng, 2008|author=<!--Not stated-->|date=2023-10-09|website= Australian Faunal Directory |publisher=Dept of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, Australia |access-date=2023-11-29}}</ref>

==Species==
The genus contains the single species '''''Linnaeolpium linnaei''''' <small>Harvey & Leng, 2008</small>. The [specific epithet](/source/specific_name_(zoology)) ''linnaei'' echos the genus name in honouring Carl Linnaeus.<ref name="wac">{{cite web |author= |year=2023 |title= Genus: Linnaeolpium Harvey and Leng, 2008|work=World Arachnida Catalog |publisher=Natural History Museum Bern|accessdate= 2023-11-19|url= https://wac.nmbe.ch/order/pseudoscorpiones/species/838}}</ref><ref name="afd">{{cite web |url= https://biodiversity.org.au/afd/taxa/fed21344-ea0c-4af4-8d5c-11cca3a81c1c|title= Species Linnaeolpium linnaei Harvey & Leng, 2008|author=<!--Not stated--> |date=2023-10-09|website= Australian Faunal Directory |publisher=Dept of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, Australia |access-date=2023-11-29}}</ref>
