'''Linde Church''' ({{langx|sv|Linde kyrka}}) is a medieval church on the Swedish island of [Gotland](/source/Gotland). The church was built between the 12th and the early 13th century and is Romanesque in style. I lies in the [Diocese of Visby](/source/Diocese_of_Visby).

==History and architecture==
Linde Church is a homogeneous [Romanesque](/source/Romanesque_architecture) church. Construction of the presently visible church started in the late 12th century and was finished in the early 13th. A single, large [Gothic](/source/Gothic_architecture) window was inserted in the eastern wall in the 14th century. In 1951-52, the church was renovated,<ref name="gotkyrkor">{{cite book |editor1-last=Lagerlöf|editor1-first=Erland|title= Gotlands kyrkor|language=sv|year= 1973|publisher= Rabén & Sjögren|location= Uddevalla|isbn= 9129410355|pages=197–198}}</ref> and again in 1973-75.<ref name=raa>{{cite web |url= http://kulturarvsdata.se/raa/bbr/html/21300000002803|title= Gotland kn, LINDE KYRKOGÅRDEN 1:1 LINDE KYRKA|author=<!--Staff writer(s); no by-line.--> |publisher= Swedish National Heritage Board|access-date=5 July 2014}}</ref>

The external [nave](/source/nave_(architecture)) and [choir](/source/choir_(architecture)) portals are both decorated with Romanesque sculptures. Inside, the church is decorated with [mural](/source/mural)s. On the northern wall is a set of paintings depicting the [Passion of Christ](/source/Passion_of_Christ), dating from the 15th century. On the western wall is another set, also from the 15th century, depicting women being harassed by devils. Among the church furnishings, the [altarpiece](/source/altarpiece) from 1521 is especially noteworthy. It depicts [God the Father](/source/God_the_Father) with [Christ](/source/Christ), with [Saint Giles](/source/Saint_Giles) and [Saint Olaf](/source/Olaf_II_of_Norway) on each side of them. Additionally, the doors of the altarpiece contain sculptures of the [apostles](/source/Apostles_in_the_New_Testament), [Saint Canute](/source/Canute_IV_of_Denmark), [Saint Eric](/source/Eric_IX_of_Sweden) and [Saint Bridget](/source/Bridget_of_Sweden). The church furthermore contains a copy of a [triumphal cross](/source/triumphal_cross) today kept in the [Swedish History Museum](/source/Swedish_History_Museum). The original dates from the end of the 12th century. The church furthermore rather unusually contains two [baptismal font](/source/baptismal_font)s. Both are probably from the 12th century, and one may be a work by the stonemason [Hegvald](/source/Hegvald).<ref name="gotkyrkor"/>

South-west of the church lie the ruins of a medieval house, probably the former [parsonage](/source/parsonage).<ref name=raa/>
