She was defeated by [Carole Théberge](/source/Carole_Th%C3%A9berge) of the [Quebec Liberal Party](/source/Quebec_Liberal_Party) in the [2003 election](/source/2003_Quebec_general_election). She ran again in the [2007 election](/source/2007_Quebec_general_election), in which she and Théberge were both defeated by [Christian Lévesque](/source/Christian_L%C3%A9vesque) of the [Action démocratique du Québec](/source/Action_d%C3%A9mocratique_du_Qu%C3%A9bec).
