# Liam Kerrigan

**Liam Thomas Kerrigan** (born 9 May 2000) is an Irish professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)) for Italian club [Ternana](/source/Ternana_Calcio).

## Club career

[Tubbercurry](/source/Tubbercurry), [County Sligo](/source/County_Sligo) native[2][3] Kerrigan started his career with [Sligo Rovers](/source/Sligo_Rovers_F.C.).[4][5][6] After three years with [UCD](/source/University_College_Dublin_A.F.C.), he signed for [Como](/source/Como_1907) in [Serie B](/source/Serie_B) in July 2022.[7][8][9] On 21 August 2022, Kerrigan made his league debut for the club and also scored his first goal for the club in a 2–2 draw away to [Pisa](/source/Pisa_Calcio).[10] Kerrigan suffered a long term injury in September 2022, tearing his [anterior cruciate ligament](/source/Anterior_cruciate_ligament).[11] He made his return on 13 August 2023, when he made his first appearance in just under a year by coming off the bench in a 1–0 loss away to [Serie A](/source/Serie_A) side [Lecce](/source/US_Lecce) in the [Coppa Italia](/source/Coppa_Italia).[12]

On 26 January 2024, Kerrigan moved on loan to [Serie C](/source/Serie_C) club [Novara](/source/Novara_FC) until the end of the season.[13][14]

On 30 August 2024, Kerrigan signed for Belgian side [Beveren](/source/S.K._Beveren) on loan.[15][16]

On 21 August 2025, Kerrigan signed a two-year contract with [Serie C](/source/Serie_C) side [Ternana](/source/Ternana_Calcio).[17][18]

## Personal life

His brother [Sean Kerrigan](/source/Sean_Kerrigan) is a professional footballer.[19] The pair are first cousins of [Johnny Kenny](/source/Johnny_Kenny), who is also a professional footballer, playing for [Scottish Premiership](/source/Scottish_Premiership) champions [Celtic](/source/Celtic_F.C.).[20]
