# Lexi Davis

**Alexis McKenzie Davis** (born October 22, 1994) is an American [softball](/source/Softball) coach and former player who is currently an assistant coach at [Furman](/source/Furman_Paladins_softball).

## Career

Davis attended [Porter Ridge High School](/source/Porter_Ridge_High_School) in [Indian Trail, North Carolina](/source/Indian_Trail,_North_Carolina), where she was named ESPN High School National Softball Player of the Year in 2012.[1] She later attended [Auburn University](/source/Auburn_University), where she played [pitcher](/source/Pitcher).[2][3][4][5][6][7] She holds Auburn's school softball record for most wins by a pitcher.[8][9] During her senior season, Davis led the Tigers to the [2016](/source/2016_NCAA_Division_I_softball_tournament) [Women's College World Series](/source/Women's_College_World_Series) final, where they fell to [Oklahoma](/source/Oklahoma_Sooners_softball), 2–1.[10][11][12]

## Coaching career

In 2018, Davis was named an assistant coach at [Furman](/source/Furman_Paladins_softball).[13]
