'''Henry Lewis Morrison''' (February 11, 1948 – July 15, 2023) was a Canadian professional [ice hockey](/source/ice_hockey) player who played 564 [National Hockey League](/source/National_Hockey_League) (NHL) games for the [Philadelphia Flyers](/source/Philadelphia_Flyers), [Atlanta Flames](/source/Atlanta_Flames), [Washington Capitals](/source/Washington_Capitals), and [Pittsburgh Penguins](/source/Pittsburgh_Penguins) between 1969 and 1978. Morrison played junior with the [Flin Flon Bombers](/source/Flin_Flon_Bombers) of the [Western Canada Hockey League](/source/Western_Hockey_League), and was selected by the Flyers 8th overall in the [1968 NHL Amateur Draft](/source/1968_NHL_Amateur_Draft). He made his professional debut that year with the Flyers' [American Hockey League](/source/American_Hockey_League) affiliate, the [Quebec Aces](/source/Quebec_Aces), and joined Philadelphia for the [1969–70 season](/source/1969%E2%80%9370_NHL_season). After three seasons with the Flyers Morrison was claimed by the expansion [Atlanta Flames](/source/Atlanta_Flames) in 1972, and played two seasons there before joining another expansion team, the [Washington Capitals](/source/Washington_Capitals). He briefly played for Washington before being traded to the [Pittsburgh Penguins](/source/Pittsburgh_Penguins), where he would play the last four years of his career.

Morrison was born in [Gainsborough, Saskatchewan](/source/Gainsborough%2C_Saskatchewan) and raised in [Hartney, Manitoba](/source/Hartney%2C_Manitoba).
