== Career ==
He was an early associate of [Sheila E.](/source/Sheila_E.) when he was tapped by [Prince](/source/Prince_(musician)) to form a new touring band after the demise of [the Revolution](/source/The_Revolution_(band)) in 1986. Seacer became the band's bassist, as well as a backing vocalist. Later, he began collaborating with Prince as a songwriter on several projects. In 1990, he produced the majority of ''[Right Rhythm](/source/Right_Rhythm)'', a Motown-issued album recorded by the pop/R&B group [The Pointer Sisters](/source/The_Pointer_Sisters). In 1991, he performed various instruments on the album ''[Moment of Truth](/source/Moment_of_Truth_(Terri_Nunn_album))'' by [Terri Nunn](/source/Terri_Nunn).

== Lawsuit ==
In October 1998, Seacer, along with [Tony M.](/source/Tony_M.), filed a lawsuit against Prince, claiming that Prince hadn't shared [royalties](/source/royalties) that Levi and Tony were owed for songs they had co-written for Prince's NPG Publishing, including "[Sexy MF](/source/Sexy_MF)" and "[My Name Is Prince](/source/My_Name_Is_Prince)".
