# Levi March

**Levi March** (1841 – May 7, 1933) was a politician and magistrate in [Newfoundland](/source/Colony_of_Newfoundland). He represented Trinity in the [Newfoundland House of Assembly](/source/Newfoundland_House_of_Assembly) in 1897 as a [Conservative](/source/Conservative_parties_in_Newfoundland_(pre-Confederation)).[1]

March worked in the family business established by [Stephen March](/source/Stephen_March). He was elected to the assembly in 1897 but resigned after being named [stipendiary magistrate](/source/Stipendiary_magistrate) for the [Bay of Islands](/source/Bay_of_Islands,_Newfoundland_and_Labrador). March retired from that post in 1919. He died at [Curling](/source/Curling,_Newfoundland_and_Labrador) in 1933.[1]
