'''Letwell''' is a rural village and [civil parish](/source/civil_parishes_in_England) in the [Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham](/source/Metropolitan_Borough_of_Rotherham) in [South Yorkshire](/source/South_Yorkshire), England, on the border with [Nottinghamshire](/source/Nottinghamshire). It lies between [Dinnington](/source/Dinnington%2C_South_Yorkshire) and [Langold](/source/Langold), off the [B6463 road](/source/B6463_road). It sits at an elevation of around 75 metres above [sea level](/source/sea_level). The first reference to Letwell was in the 12th century when it was part of the lands of [Tickhill Castle](/source/Tickhill_Castle).
