**Lether Edward Frazar** (December 1, 1904 – May 15, 1960) was a [Louisiana](/source/Louisiana) politician who served as the 44th [lieutenant governor of Louisiana](/source/Lieutenant_governor_of_Louisiana). Frazar served in the [Louisiana House of Representatives](/source/Louisiana_House_of_Representatives).[1] His Ph.D. was from [Columbia University](/source/Columbia_University). He was president of the [University of Louisiana at Lafayette](/source/University_of_Louisiana_at_Lafayette) from 1938 to 1941 and of [McNeese State University](/source/McNeese_State_University) from 1944 to 1955.
