His work has been featured at several major museums, including his first major show at the [Delaware Art Museum](/source/Delaware_Art_Museum) in 1992. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he studied at [Cass Technical High School](/source/Cass_Technical_High_School), the [School of the Art Institute of Chicago](/source/School_of_the_Art_Institute_of_Chicago), the [Cranbrook Academy of Art](/source/Cranbrook_Academy_of_Art), and the [Art Students League of New York](/source/Art_Students_League_of_New_York) under [Edwin Dickinson](/source/Edwin_Dickinson).
