'''Legrandite''' is a rare [zinc](/source/zinc) [arsenate mineral](/source/arsenate_mineral), Zn<sub>2</sub>(AsO<sub>4</sub>)(OH)·(H<sub>2</sub>O). 

It is an uncommon secondary mineral in the [oxidized](/source/oxidized) zone of arsenic bearing zinc deposits and occurs rarely in [granite](/source/granite) [pegmatite](/source/pegmatite). Associated minerals include: [adamite](/source/adamite), [paradamite](/source/paradamite), [köttigite](/source/k%C3%B6ttigite), [scorodite](/source/scorodite), [smithsonite](/source/smithsonite), [leiteite](/source/leiteite), [renierite](/source/renierite), [pharmacosiderite](/source/pharmacosiderite), [aurichalcite](/source/aurichalcite), [siderite](/source/siderite), [goethite](/source/goethite) and [pyrite](/source/pyrite).<ref name=Handbook/><ref name=Mindat/> It has been reported from [Tsumeb](/source/Tsumeb), [Namibia](/source/Namibia); the [Ojuela](/source/Ojuela) mine in [Durango](/source/Durango), Mexico and at [Sterling Hill](/source/Sterling_Hill), [New Jersey](/source/New_Jersey), US.<ref name=Handbook/>

It was first described in 1934 for an occurrence in the Flor de Peña Mine, [Nuevo León](/source/Nuevo_Le%C3%B3n), Mexico and named after Louis C.A. Legrand, a Belgian mining engineer.<ref name=Mindat/>
