The **Legislative Assembly of Sergipe** ([Portuguese](/source/Portuguese_language): *Assembleia Legislativa de Sergipe*) is the [unicameral](/source/Unicameral) legislature of [Sergipe](/source/Sergipe) state in [Brazil](/source/Brazil). It has 24 [state deputies](/source/State_deputy) elected by [proportional representation](/source/Proportional_representation).

The Province of [Sergipe](/source/Sergipe) was consolidated on October 24, 1824. The first Provincial Assembly started in 1835; [Cônego Antônio Fernandes da Silveira](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=C%C3%B4nego_Ant%C3%B4nio_Fernandes_da_Silveira&action=edit&redlink=1) was the first president.[2] On June 24, 2004, the [TV Alese](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=TV_Alese&action=edit&redlink=1) was created.
