# Lee Calland

**Arthur Lee Calland** (born September 14, 1941) is an American former professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was a [defensive back](/source/Defensive_back) in the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL). He played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [Louisville Cardinals](/source/Louisville_Cardinals_football). Calland played 10 seasons in the NFL for the [Minnesota Vikings](/source/Minnesota_Vikings) (1963–1965), the [Atlanta Falcons](/source/Atlanta_Falcons) (1966–1968), the [Chicago Bears](/source/Chicago_Bears) (1969), and the [Pittsburgh Steelers](/source/Pittsburgh_Steelers) (1969–1972).[1]

After leaving the NFL, Calland coached defense at [Fort Valley State University](/source/Fort_Valley_State_University), [Morehouse College](/source/Morehouse_College), [Southern University](/source/Southern_University_System), [Morris Brown College](/source/Morris_Brown_College), and [Tennessee State University](/source/Tennessee_State_University). He was inducted into the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2022. As of 2022, Calland resides in [Atlanta](/source/Atlanta), Georgia.[2]
