**Laura Pyper** is a [Northern Irish](/source/Northern_Irish) [actress](/source/Actress), known for portraying [Ella Dee](/source/Ella_Dee) in the second season of *[Hex](/source/Hex_(TV_series))*, Jane Fairfax in *[Emma](/source/Emma_(2009_TV_serial))* and Lexine Murdoch in the video game *[Dead Space: Extraction](/source/Dead_Space:_Extraction)*. She also played Lesley Howell in *[The Secret](/source/The_Secret_(TV_series))* on [ITV](/source/ITV_(TV_network)), which was first broadcast in April and May 2016.

## Background

Born in [Magherafelt](/source/Magherafelt), [Northern Ireland](/source/Northern_Ireland), Pyper has two brothers and two sisters.[1] She attended [Rainey Endowed School](/source/Rainey_Endowed_School) and later studied English and Drama at [Trinity College, Dublin](/source/Trinity_College,_Dublin).[1]

## Career

Pyper made her film debut playing Lin in *[Reign of Fire](/source/Reign_of_Fire_(film))*, a role she won while still studying.[1] She has also appeared in the Irish film *[Headrush](/source/Headrush_(film))*, playing Vicky Nobel.
