"**Lasting Lover**" is a song performed by British DJ and record producer [Sigala](/source/Sigala) and British singer-songwriter [James Arthur](/source/James_Arthur). It was also written by Scottish singer-songwriter [Lewis Capaldi](/source/Lewis_Capaldi), widely known for his hit "[Someone You Loved](/source/Someone_You_Loved)". It was released to [digital retailers](/source/Online_music_store) and [streaming platforms](/source/Streaming_media#Music_streaming_platforms) on 4 September 2020 by [Ministry of Sound](/source/Ministry_of_Sound).[1] The song samples "[Time to Pretend](/source/Time_to_Pretend)" by indie pop and rock band [MGMT](/source/MGMT). It reached number 10 on the [UK Singles Chart](/source/UK_Singles_Chart) and the top 10 of the US [Dance/Electronic Songs](/source/Dance/Electronic_Songs) chart.

At the [APRA Music Awards of 2022](/source/APRA_Music_Awards_of_2022), the song was nominated for Most Performed International Work.[2]
