**Larry Lauer** (August 27, 1927 – January 3, 1992) was a [center](/source/Center_(American_football)) in the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League).

## Biography

Lauer was born Lawrence Gene Lauer on August 27, 1927, in [Chicago, Illinois](/source/Chicago,_Illinois).[1]

## Career

Lauer was drafted in the eighth round of the [1951 NFL draft](/source/1951_NFL_draft) by the [New York Yanks](/source/New_York_Yanks) and later played two seasons with the [Green Bay Packers](/source/Green_Bay_Packers). He played at the collegiate level at the [University of Alabama](/source/University_of_Alabama).[2]
