'''Larrelt''' is a former [village](/source/village) in [Lower Saxony](/source/Lower_Saxony), [Germany](/source/Germany). The centuries-old [East Frisia](/source/East_Frisia)n village originally belonged to the former [Landkreis Norden](/source/Landkreis_Norden), but was added to the city of [Emden](/source/Emden) as a [district](/source/quarter_(urban_subdivision)) ({{lang|de|Stadtteil}}) immediately after the [Second World War](/source/Second_World_War). It currently lies directly to the north of the Emden [industrial estate](/source/industrial_estate).

The oldest mention of Larrelt, as ''Hlarfliata'', dates from the 10th century.<ref>{{Cite journal |url=https://www.dbnl.org/tekst/_naa002197501_01/_naa002197501_01_0002.php |title=Enkele Belgische leenwoorden in de toponymie |journal=Naamkunde |last=Gysseling |first=Maurits |volume=7 |publisher=Instituut voor Naamkunde/Commissie voor Naamkunde en Nederzettingsgeschiedenis |location=Leuven/Amsterdam |year=1975 |page=5 |language=nl}}</ref> The former village has a [church](/source/%3Ade%3ALarrelter_Kirche) which dates from the 15th century.<ref>{{Cite web |url=http://www.ref-gemeinde-larrelt.de/unsere-geb%C3%A4ude/kirche/ |title=Kirche |website=Ev.-reformierten Kirchengemeinde Larrelt |access-date=17 October 2023 |language=de}}</ref>
