'''Lanfair Buttes''', also known as '''Eagle Mountain''', '''Indian Hill''', '''Eagle Hill''', and '''Graveyard Hills''' is a [summit](/source/summit) in the [Mojave National Preserve](/source/Mojave_National_Preserve) in the [Mojave Desert](/source/Mojave_Desert) in [San Bernardino County, California](/source/San_Bernardino_County%2C_California).  The Lanfair Buttes lie 3 miles (4.8&nbsp;km) east-southeast of the [Grotto Hills](/source/Grotto_Hills) and 8 miles (13&nbsp;km) north-northeast of [Hackberry Mountain](/source/Hackberry_Mountain) in [Lanfair Valley](/source/Lanfair_Valley).  The tallest and northernmost elevation in the Lanfair Buttes is [Eagle Mountain](/source/Eagle_Mountain_(Lanfair_Buttes)) at 1338 feet.  The southernmost elevation is [Indian Hill](/source/Indian_Hill_(Lanfair_Buttes)), at {{coord|35|08|36.71|N|115|09|15.34|W|display=inline}} at an elevation of 1281 feet.  [Indian Well](/source/Indian_Well_(Lanfair_Buttes)), an old well is found west of the Buttes at {{coord|35|08|43|N|115|09|32|W|display=inline}}, and [petroglyphs](/source/petroglyphs) are found nearby on the slope of the Buttes to the east.<ref>{{GNIS|244575|Lanfair Buttes}}</ref>  Indian Well petroglyphs indicate it was a [Native American](/source/Native_Americans_in_the_United_States) water source and camping site in previous centuries.  Indian Well was also located along the route of the [Mohave Trail](/source/Mohave_Trail).

The Lanfair Buttes are a [landmark](/source/landmark), found about a mile north of the [Mojave Road](/source/Mojave_Road) at mile 40.
