# Lamptrai

**Lamptrai** ([Ancient Greek](/source/Ancient_Greek_language): Λαμπτραὶ), or **Lamptra** (Λάμπτρα, in inscriptions; Λάμπρα, in writers), was the name of two *[demoi](/source/Deme)* or [ancient Attica](/source/Ancient_Attica), Upper Lamptrai ([Lamptrai Kathyperthen](/source/Lamptrai_Kathyperthen)), and Lower or Maritime Lamptrai ([Lamptrai Paraloi](/source/Lamptrai_Paraloi)). These places were between [Anagyrus](/source/Anagyrus_(Attica)), [Thorae](/source/Thorae), and [Aegilia](/source/Aegilia).[1]
