**Lake Spring** is an [unincorporated community](/source/Unincorporated_area#United_States) in northwest [Dent County](/source/Dent_County,_Missouri), [Missouri](/source/Missouri), United States.[1] It is located approximately 12 miles (19 km) southeast of [Rolla](/source/Rolla,_Missouri) on [Route 72](/source/Route_72_(Missouri)). A post office called Lake Spring has been in operation since 1856.[2] The community was named after a nearby pool of water fed by a spring.[3] The Hyer Woods Conservation Area[4] composes approximately 30 acres (12 ha) in the Lake Spring community.
