Scanlan competed in the [women's trap event](/source/Shooting_at_the_2020_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Women's_trap) and also the team event with [James Willett](/source/James_Willett) at the [2020 Summer Olympics](/source/2020_Summer_Olympics). Laetisha started shooting in 2005 at Frankston Australia Gun Club in Victoria, Australia. She has been a part of the Australian team since 2007 and competed in her first overseas competition that same year, in Nicosia.
