## Biography

Ly's parents are from [Mali](/source/Mali) and he grew up in [Montfermeil](/source/Montfermeil), a district of Bosquets. He started making films with his friends [Kim Chapiron](/source/Kim_Chapiron), [Romain Gavras](/source/Romain_Gavras), and [JR](/source/JR_(artist)), in the collective Kourtrajmé.[2]
