# Labadi

**Labadi**, also known as **La**, is a [Peri-urban](/source/Peri-urbanisation) town in [La Dade Kotopon Municipal District](/source/La_Dade_Kotopon_Municipal_District) in the [Greater Accra Region](/source/Greater_Accra_Region) of [Ghana](/source/Ghana).[1]

## Location

Labadi is located along the coast of the [Atlantic Ocean](/source/Atlantic_Ocean). Its distance by road from [Accra International Airport](/source/Accra_International_Airport) is 7.11 kilometers (3.04 miles).[2] It is bounded by [Osu](/source/Osu,_Accra) to the west and [Teshie](/source/Teshie) to the east.

## Politics

Labadi is in the [Dade Kotopon](/source/Dade_Kotopon) constituency, led by [Rita Naa Odoley Sowah](/source/Rita_Naa_Odoley_Sowah) of the [National Democratic Congress](/source/National_Democratic_Congress_(Ghana)).[3][4][5] She succeeded [Vincent Sowah Odotei](/source/Vincent_Sowah_Odotei), a member of the [New Patriotic Party](/source/New_Patriotic_Party),[4][5] who also succeeded [Nii Amasah Namoale](/source/Nii_Amasah_Namoale) of the [National Democratic Congress.](/source/National_Democratic_Congress_(Ghana))[6]
