**Ligand-dependent corepressor** is a [protein](/source/Protein) that in humans is encoded by the *LCOR* [gene](/source/Gene).[5][6][7]

## Function

LCOR is a transcriptional [corepressor](/source/Corepressor_(genetics)) widely expressed in fetal and adult tissues that is recruited to agonist-bound [nuclear receptors](/source/Nuclear_receptor) through a single LxxLL motif, also referred to as a nuclear receptor (NR) box.[7]
