**Lønset**[2] is a village in [Oppdal Municipality](/source/Oppdal_Municipality) in [Trøndelag](/source/Tr%C3%B8ndelag) county, [Norway](/source/Norway). The village is located along the [Norwegian National Road 70](/source/Norwegian_National_Road_70), about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) west of the village of [Vognillan](/source/Vognillan) and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) west of the municipal center of [Oppdal](/source/Oppdal_(village)). The lakes [Ångardsvatnet](/source/%C3%85ngardsvatnet) and [Gjevillvatnet](/source/Gjevillvatnet) lie about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) to the north of Lønset.

[Lønset Church](/source/L%C3%B8nset_Church) is located in the village and it is the [parish church](/source/Parish_church) for the western part of [Oppdal Municipality](/source/Oppdal_Municipality).
