DeVan was signed by the [Washington Redskins](/source/Washington_Redskins) as an [undrafted free agent](/source/undrafted_free_agent) in 2008. He was also a member of the [New York Jets](/source/New_York_Jets), [Indianapolis Colts](/source/Indianapolis_Colts), [Philadelphia Eagles](/source/Philadelphia_Eagles), and [Tennessee Titans](/source/Tennessee_Titans) of the NFL, as well as the [Boise Burn](/source/Boise_Burn) of [AF2](/source/AF2).

In the [2009 NFL season](/source/2009_NFL_season), DeVan was signed by the [Indianapolis Colts](/source/Indianapolis_Colts) and later became the team's starting right guard. He started in the 2009 [Super Bowl](/source/Super_Bowl), in which the Colts lost to the Saints.
