# Kvariati

Kvariati beach.

**Kvariati** ([Georgian](/source/Georgian_language): კვარიათი) is a village in [Georgia](/source/Georgia_(country)), situated on the eastern coast of the [Black Sea](/source/Black_Sea). It is part of the municipal area of [Batumi](/source/Batumi) since 2011 and a seaside resort, visited annually by Georgians and many former [Soviet Union](/source/Soviet_Union) residents. It is inhabited by the [Laz](/source/Laz_people) subgroup of [Georgians](/source/Georgians).

According to census held in 2002, the population of the village was 98.[1]
