**Kuugaaluk** ([Inuktitut syllabics](/source/Inuktitut_syllabics): *ᑰᒑᓗᒃ*[1]) formerly **Kogalu River**[2] is a river on the eastern coast of [Baffin Island](/source/Baffin_Island) in the [Qikiqtaaluk Region](/source/Qikiqtaaluk_Region) of [Nunavut](/source/Nunavut), Canada. The river outflows from [Ayr Lake](/source/Ayr_Lake) and travels 40 km (25 mi) before reaching [Baffin Bay](/source/Baffin_Bay).[3] The nearest settlement, [Clyde River](/source/Clyde_River%2C_Nunavut), is approximately 30 km (19 mi) away.
