It is the first among a series of successful films under Upendra&nbsp;— Naganna combination. The film also starred [Ashok](/source/Ashok_(Kannada_actor)), [Gurukiran](/source/Gurukiran), [Advani Lakshmi Devi](/source/Advani_Lakshmi_Devi), [Shwetha](/source/Vinodhini) in supporting roles and [B.C. Patil](/source/B.C._Patil) and Sathya Raj played the negative roles.
