**Kushtia-1** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). Since 13th February 2026, the constituency is represented by [Reza Ahmed Bacchu Molla](/source/Bachhu_Mollah), a candidate of the [Bangladesh Nationalist Party](/source/Bangladesh_Nationalist_Party).

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Daulatpur Upazila](/source/Daulatpur_Upazila%2C_Kushtia).[2][3][4]

## History

The constituency was created for the first general elections in newly independent Bangladesh, held in 1973.

Ahsanul Haq Mollah died in December 2003.[12] [Bachhu Mollah](/source/Bachhu_Mollah), his son, was elected in a March 2004 by-election.[13]
