'''Krushari''' ({{langx|bg|Крушари}}, {{IPA|bg|kruˈʃari|pron}}) is a village in northeastern [Bulgaria](/source/Bulgaria), part of [Dobrich Province](/source/Dobrich_Province). It is the administrative centre of [Krushari Municipality](/source/Krushari_Municipality), which lies in the northwestern part of the province. Krushari is located 32 kilometres from the provincial capital of [Dobrich](/source/Dobrich), 85 kilometres (53&nbsp;mi) from [Varna](/source/Varna%2C_Bulgaria) and around 70 kilometres (43&nbsp;mi) from [Balchik](/source/Balchik) and [Silistra](/source/Silistra).

The old name of the village was ''Armutlii'' (also ''Armutli'', ''Armutlu'', ''Armutlia''), which has an [Ottoman Turkish](/source/Ottoman_Turkish_language) etymology and shares the same meaning as the current Bulgarian name: "pear growers" or "pear vendors". The modern name was introduced in 1942, after [Southern Dobruja](/source/Southern_Dobruja) was returned to Bulgaria following a [Romania](/source/Romania)n rule between the 1913 [Treaty of Bucharest](/source/Treaty_of_Bucharest_(1913)) and the 1940 [Treaty of Craiova](/source/Treaty_of_Craiova).
