In 2008, she made history by becoming the youngest editor-in-chief of an internationally distributed print publication.[1] Prim is currently the founder of Uppercut, as well as the founder and publisher of *Noir*.[2][3] Previously, she was the [editor in chief](/source/Editor_in_chief) and [founder](/source/Founder_(company)) of *A23*, *The Provocateur*, and *Prim Magazine*.[4][5][6][7] Prim attended [Parsons School of Design](/source/Parsons_School_of_Design), where she majored in Design and Management.[8]

## Media outlets

### *Prim Magazine*

*Prim Magazine* was founded by Prim in April 2008 at the age of 14, which qualified her as the youngest print publication editor worldwide.[9][10] *Prim Magazine* collaborated with designers among the likes of [Jeremy Scott](/source/Jeremy_Scott), Vena Cava, A.F. Vandevorst, [Rad Hourani](/source/Rad_Hourani), and Ohne Titel.[9][11]

### *A23*

In 2015, Prim founded *A23*, a hardcover art book that commissions nine fine artists to contribute original work to each edition. Its first themed volume, *The Mysticism of the Female*, included works from artists [Mary Beth Edelson](/source/Mary_Beth_Edelson), [Theo Adams](/source/Theo_Adams), [Luciano Castelli](/source/Luciano_Castelli), [Heide Hatry](/source/Heide_Hatry), [Katarzyna Kozyra](/source/Katarzyna_Kozyra), [Annegret Soltau](/source/Annegret_Soltau), [Nil Yalter](/source/Nil_Yalter), [Shary Boyle](/source/Shary_Boyle), and [Natacha Merritt](/source/Natacha_Merritt).[4] A23 is "named after the divination of the Aces, Twos, and Threes of the Minor Arcana" and "highlights the talent of nine fine artists and their 'personal ideologies, experiences, and dogmas in an archival visual manner.'"[12]

### *The Provocateur*

In early 2016, Prim launched *The Provocateur*, a digital archive of handwritten letters written by venerated females within the arts to fellow women.[7] *The Provocateur* is a feminist project in scope, calling on culture's leading women to lend articles of advice to young women. *The Provocateur* has included collaborators such as [Roxane Gay](/source/Roxane_Gay), [Sandra Bernhard](/source/Sandra_Bernhard), [King Princess](/source/King_Princess), [Linda Perry](/source/Linda_Perry), [Nikki Reed](/source/Nikki_Reed), [Alison Mosshart](/source/Alison_Mosshart), [Janet Mock](/source/Janet_Mock), [Shirley Manson](/source/Shirley_Manson), [Floria Sigismondi](/source/Floria_Sigismondi), [Phyllis Nagy](/source/Phyllis_Nagy), [Taylor Momsen](/source/Taylor_Momsen), and [Amanda Palmer](/source/Amanda_Palmer).[13]

*The Provocateur* was relaunched by Prim in late 2020, boasting a revamped format and a new roster of noteworthy women.[14]

In 2024, *The Provocateur* was merged with Lenoir to form *Noir*.[15]

### *Noir*

In a merger between media outlet *The Provocateur* and lingerie house Lenoir, Prim founded *Noir* in late 2024. Continuing the spirit of both companies, *Noir* is an online media outlet and design house that engages in deep, intimate conversations with female cultural icons about womanhood, power, and self-actualization.[16][15]

*Noir* has collaborated with [Dita Von Teese](/source/Dita_Von_Teese), [Janice Dickinson](/source/Janice_Dickinson), [Paz de la Huerta](/source/Paz_de_la_Huerta), [Cosey Fanni Tutti](/source/Cosey_Fanni_Tutti), Omahyra Mota, [Margaret Cho](/source/Margaret_Cho), [Sandra Bernhard](/source/Sandra_Bernhard), [Miki Berenyi](/source/Miki_Berenyi), [Gaye Advert](/source/Gaye_Advert), [Chelsea Wolfe](/source/Chelsea_Wolfe), [Kelli Ali](/source/Kelli_Ali), [Roberta Bayley](/source/Roberta_Bayley), [Cherry Vanilla](/source/Cherry_Vanilla), [Elayne Angel](/source/Elayne_Angel), [Sally Potter](/source/Sally_Potter), [Isabel LaRosa](/source/Isabel_LaRosa), and [MØ](/source/M%C3%98), among others.[17]

## Uppercut

After losing her close friend due to a sexual assault, Prim established Uppercut in 2022. A subscription-based digital fitness platform, Uppercut is "committed to empowering women through strength training and self-defense alongside the greatest female fighters of all time."[18][19]

## Lenoir

In October 2018, Prim founded the luxury lingerie house, Lenoir, to close a gap in the market for lingerie made "for women by women that doesn't lose its sensuality."[20] Its debut was announced by [Women's Wear Daily](/source/Women's_Wear_Daily).[20]

## Fine artwork

In mid-2013, Prim released a limited collective oeuvre of her fine artwork, varying from photography to paintings and typewritten works.[21] In an interview with *Volt*, Prim discussed the themes and inspirations behind her work, often involving androgyny, martyrdom, sexuality, gender, and the female form.[22]
