**Kristian Chong** is an Australian concert pianist.

## Early life and education

His early studies were at the [Elder Conservatorium of Music](/source/Elder_Conservatorium_of_Music) in [Adelaide](/source/Adelaide), [South Australia](/source/South_Australia), where he was accepted at the age of nine on piano with [Stefan Ammer](/source/Stefan_Ammer) and Noreen Stokes, and violin with [Beryl Kimber](/source/Beryl_Kimber). He went on to study at the [Melbourne Conservatorium of Music](/source/Melbourne_Conservatorium_of_Music) under [Stephen McIntyre](/source/Stephen_McIntyre_(musician)), and then the [Royal Academy of Music](/source/Royal_Academy_of_Music) in [London](/source/London) with [Piers Lane](/source/Piers_Lane) and [Christopher Elton](/source/Christopher_Elton).[citation needed]

Chong has performed extensively throughout Australia and the UK, and in China, France, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, USA, and Zimbabwe.[1]
