# Koo Luam Khen

Malaysian footballer (born 1951)

**Koo Luam Khen** (or **Khoo Luan Khen**, [simplified Chinese](/source/Simplified_Chinese_characters): 古廉权; [traditional Chinese](/source/Traditional_Chinese_characters): 古廉權, born 27 March 1951) is a Malaysian former footballer. A [Malaysia national team](/source/Malaysia_national_football_team) player, he participated in the [1972 Munich Olympic Games](/source/1972_Munich_Olympic_Games).[1] He was the former coach of [Hong Kong national team](/source/Hong_Kong_national_football_team), Hong Kong League teams [Instant-Dict](/source/Double_Flower_FA) and [Sun Hei](/source/Sun_Hei). He won "Best Coach of the Year" in [Hong Kong Top Footballer Awards](/source/Hong_Kong_Top_Footballer_Awards) 2003 and 2005.[2]

In 2004, he was inducted in [Olympic Council of Malaysia](/source/Olympic_Council_of_Malaysia)'s Hall of Fame for [1972 Summer Olympics football team](/source/Football_at_the_1972_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_team_squads#Malaysia).[3]

In early 2013, Koo coached the [Northern Mariana Islands team](/source/Northern_Mariana_Islands_football_team) in the [2014 AFC Challenge Cup qualification](/source/2014_AFC_Challenge_Cup_qualification) tournament in Nepal.[4][5][6]
