# Kollaps

***Kollaps*** is the first official LP by [Einstürzende Neubauten](/source/Einst%C3%BCrzende_Neubauten),[1] released in 1981 on German label [ZickZack](/source/ZickZack) as #ZZ 65. The songs are a mixture of rough [punk](/source/Punk_rock) tunes as well as industrial noises obtained from self-made music machines, electronics, and [found objects](/source/Found_object) such as metal plates. The album was reissued in 2002 with *Stahldubversions*, originally released in 1982. [Blixa Bargeld](/source/Blixa_Bargeld), [N.U. Unruh](/source/N.U._Unruh) and [F.M. Einheit](/source/F.M._Einheit) appear on the album. "Jet'M" is a cover of the [Serge Gainsbourg](/source/Serge_Gainsbourg) song "[Je t'aime... moi non plus](/source/Je_t'aime..._moi_non_plus)". Track 15 of many CD versions of the album is a live recording of "Negativ Nein" from 26 June 1987 at the [Tempodrom](/source/Tempodrom) in Berlin.

## Reception

*[Trouser Press](/source/Trouser_Press)* described *Kollaps* as "one of the most shocking visions ever committed to vinyl."[2] The album is included in the book *[1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die](/source/1001_Albums_You_Must_Hear_Before_You_Die)*.[3]
