# Kofi B

**Kofi Boakye Yiadom** (died February 2, 2020),[1] known by his stage name **Kofi B**, was a [Ghanaian](/source/Ghanaian_people) [highlife](/source/Highlife) musician. He was known for songs such as "Mmobrowa", "Bantama Kofi Boakye" and "Koforidua Flowers", among others.[2][3][4][5] He was inspired by the likes of [Amakye Dede](/source/Amakye_Dede), [Kojo Antwi](/source/Kojo_Antwi) and [Ofori Amponsah](/source/Ofori_Amponsah).[6]

## Education

Kofi B attended Agogo State College in the [Ashanti Region](/source/Ashanti_Region), but dropped out prematurely due to financial difficulties.[7]

## Death

Kofi B suffered a heart attack prior to performing at a concert in [Cape Coast](/source/Cape_Coast) on February 2, 2020, and was pronounced dead on arrival after being rushed to a hospital.[8] He had been battling health issues over the past year.[9]
