'''Koby Owusu Arthur''' (born 31 January 1996) is a Ghanaian [footballer](/source/association_football) who plays as a [midfielder](/source/midfielder) for {{English football updater|Bromsgrove}} club [Bromsgrove Sporting](/source/Bromsgrove_Sporting_F.C.).

A [midfielder](/source/midfielder) who can also play as a [forward](/source/forward_(association_football)), Arthur made his [Football League](/source/English_Football_League) debut in the [Championship](/source/EFL_Championship) with [Birmingham City](/source/Birmingham_City_F.C.) in April 2013. He spent time on loan at [Conference Premier](/source/Conference_Premier) club [Lincoln City](/source/Lincoln_City_F.C.) and in two spells with [League Two](/source/Football_League_Two) club [Cheltenham Town](/source/Cheltenham_Town_F.C.), for whom he scored his first senior goal. After his release from Birmingham in 2017, Arthur joined [Macclesfield Town](/source/Macclesfield_Town_F.C.), and was part of the squad that won the [2017–18 National League](/source/2017%E2%80%9318_National_League) title and promotion back to the Football League. After time out of the game through injury, Arthur had a truncated season with [Kidderminster Harriers](/source/Kidderminster_Harriers) of the [National League North](/source/National_League_North) and spent the 2021–22 season with [Dover Athletic](/source/Dover_Athletic_F.C.) before joining another National League club, [Maidenhead United](/source/Maidenhead_United), in 2022. He went on to play for [Hereford](/source/Hereford_F.C.), [Stourbridge](/source/Stourbridge_F.C.) and (briefly) [Rushall Olympic](/source/Rushall_Olympic_F.C.) before joining [Barwell](/source/Barwell_F.C.) on dual registration in September 2024.

==Early life and career==
Arthur was born in [Kumasi](/source/Kumasi), Ghana.<ref name=SquadNo>{{cite web |url=http://www.bcfc.com/news/article/squad-number-for-koby-665006.aspx |title=Squad number for Koby |first=Andy |last=Walker |publisher=Birmingham City F.C. |date=19 February 2013 |accessdate=2 April 2013 |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20130225014629/http://www.bcfc.com/news/article/squad-number-for-koby-665006.aspx |archivedate=25 February 2013}}</ref> After moving to England he joined the youth system of [Southern League](/source/Southern_Football_League) club [Woodford United](/source/Woodford_United_F.C.),<ref>{{cite news |url=http://www.daventryexpress.co.uk/sport/reds-see-youth-policy-successes-1-3855028 |title=Reds see youth policy successes |newspaper=Daventry Express |date=20 May 2012 |accessdate=2 April 2013 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150923212937/https://www.daventryexpress.co.uk/sport/reds-see-youth-policy-successes-1-3855028 |archive-date=23 September 2015}}</ref> where he was noticed by a [Birmingham City](/source/Birmingham_City_F.C.) [scout](/source/scout_(sport)) in 2012. The 16-year-old Arthur moved into the football and education development programme run by Birmingham City's community department, and was soon recruited into the club's [main development system](/source/Birmingham_City_F.C._Reserves_and_Academy).<ref>{{cite news |url=http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/koby-arthur-set-sign-first-1877363 |title=Blues hoping to get Koby Arthur signing on dotted line |first=Colin |last=Tattum |newspaper=Birmingham Mail |date=23 March 2013 |accessdate=2 April 2013}}</ref><ref name=Lowdown>{{cite news |url=http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/blues-under-21development-squad-coach-richard-1340283 |title=Lowdown on new Blues prospect Koby Arthur |first=Colin |last=Tattum |newspaper=Birmingham Mail |date=22 February 2013 |accessdate=2 April 2013}}</ref> He played for the club's under-18 team, and made his [reserve team](/source/reserve_team) debut in February 2013 in a 2–1 [Birmingham Senior Cup](/source/Birmingham_Senior_Cup) defeat to [Stourbridge](/source/Stourbridge_F.C.).
